Hong Kong, 24 May 2018 – Technology buyers, experts and innovators from across North Asia, and further afield, have flocked in their thousands to the HKCEC, Hong Kong over the two days for the region's number one business technology event.

Cloud Expo Asia, held on 16-17 May and co-located with Cloud & Cyber Security Expo, Big Data World, Smart IoT and Data Centre World saw an unparalleled gathering of international business leaders, with record numbers attending the event - over 10,500 visitors which was a 30% increase on the previous year.

With the business environment shifting constantly with new technologies knocking at the door, the event provided a much-needed opportunity for professionals and experts to be inspired, network with peers and keep up to date with the latest technology solutions, services and products available on the market.

VIP delegate Teddy Tsang, Solution Architect at Singapore Telecom Hong Kong Limited, spoke of the event's success: "I thoroughly enjoy how the event covers all the technologies that I am interested in in real depth. Michael Natusch, Global Head of AI at Prudential plc discussed how the enterprise environment can embrace the use of artificial intelligence, while experts from Lane Crawford and Standard Chartered Bank spoke of challenges and opportunities around digital transformation and new models of leadership.

The world-leading conference programme also included innovative sessions in the Data Centres of the Future Theatre, which looked at how organisations need to adapt their data centre portfolios to evolve in line with changing business needs and capacity requirements.

Another delegate Derek Cheung, AVP, Bank of America, added “This is a massive exhibition that has all the data centre related exhibitors in one place, compared to the other event I have attended.”

Elsewhere, sessions in the Big Data, Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Theatre included appearances from companies such as MapR and Amazon Web Services whose leading representatives covered this technology trend in depth. Presentations were also delivered by leading data scientists from the likes of Uber and GoGoVan.

Candice Wong, event director for Cloud Expo Asia, commented: "Our best-in-class conference programme combined with a brilliant selection of industry-leading suppliers made this year's show such a great success.

"It was fantastic to welcome so many industry professionals from around the world to the HKCEC in Wan Chai and I'm looking forward to doing it all again next year."
