Conference Producer - Marketing & Ecommerce events

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with content, marketing and sales teams to develop, implement and produce content across online and conference channels for our Marketing & Ecommerce events
     
  • Identify and recruit appropriate speakers through research, networking, and existing contacts to achieve your target requirements
     
  • Foster strong relationships with key industry partners and leverage connections to involve in conference programming and the effective promotion of the events
     
  • Research important industry topics and keep up to date with industry trends to ensure streams of content are relevant to our audience
     
  • Research and identify relevant industry and specific sector agencies, associations and media organisations for partnership
     
  • Secure agreements with partners and content contributors to develop mutually beneficial deliverables
     
  • Work with speakers and partners to produce content, including interviews and Q&A pieces
     
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for further development of conference programme, event format and promotion
     
  • Support the marketing and content teams to ensure the marketability of conference programmes
     
  • Work with key industry players to ensure the marketability of our events to their membership/networks
     
  • Proof-reading and making necessary amendments to marketing, digital marketing and conference programmes on all printed literature and online materials (marketing brochures, show guides, timetable boards, postcards etc.)
     
  • Running the conference onsite or virtually
     
  • Contribute to the post-event debrief, analyse what worked and make recommendations for where we can improve for the following year
     
  • Support the social media promotion for the event as well as leveraging your network to promote
     
  • As well as our marketing and ecommerce events, support the speaker recruitment across our tech portfolio (including but not limited to London Tech and TechWeek Frankfurt)

What you will offer us:

  • Experience of working in an agency, media agency or ecommerce business (desirable)
     
  • Experience of conference production (desirable)
     
  • Ability to quickly understand a market and draw up list of appropriate speakers
     
  • Great research skills to uncover hot topics and must-have speakers
     
  • Ability to be persuasive and encourage senior execs to give up their time to attend our events as speakers
     
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
     
  • Good IT skills. You will be using content management systems, databases and email software
     
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal
     
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
     
  • Diplomatic skills to liaise with and where necessary get through gate keepers
     
  • Experience of running a budget (desirable and training can be provided)
     
  • Ability to meet deadlines
     
  • Excellent attention to detail
     
  • Patient and calm under pressure
     
  • Get on well with people from all walks of life (and the ability to network and make new friends quickly!)
     
  • Flexibility to accommodate extended working hours as needed around key show times
     
  • A fabulous sense of humour
