Head of Consolidation and Reporting

  • Oversee all investments and acquisition accounting
  • Work closely with the Integration Accountant on the integration of new acquisitions and shows, ensuring compliance from a tax, management accounts, payroll, reporting perspective
  • Conduct internal audits of processes ad policies such as: petty cash compliance, payroll processes, PO process, Capex compliance; and recommend and implement agreed improvements
  • Prepare monthly and annual consolidated management accounts and submissions to external stakeholders
  • Take responsibility for the monthly and annual group consolidation process and work with the FC to improve monthly consolidated reporting
  • Ensure monthly accounts are accurate for interest, tax, group management fees and other non-operating items
  • Maintain the forecast and budget model for cash flow, balance sheet and covenant analysis.
  • Prepare quarterly covenant certificates
  • Prepare covenant papers for new acquisitions and any payments of loan note interest, and any other ad hoc reporting required in line with the financing documents
  • Prepare and monitor 13-week cashflow, liaising with Head of Finance and Head of Credit Control
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions against budget and regularly reviewing internal reports
  • Reporting on invoicing versus budget by show and cash versus budget by show – working closely with credit control to understand variances
  • Ensure the continued compliance with government regulations and legislation; specifically lead on all tax matters across all jurisdictions (including VAT, PAYE or country specific equivalents)
  • Lead on GDPR updates in relation to Finance in partnerships with the IT Data team, ensuring the Board are abreast of the issues and can take appropriate action
  • Lead on group audit and collaborate with group auditors to ensure efficient year end audit and compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating financial information systems improvements where needed
  • Report to the FC & FD with timely and accurate financial information
  • Line manage and develop your team, inclusive of: training, provide feedback and coaching, supporting with recruitment and onboarding activity, manage performance and reviews etc
  • Support with ad hoc tasks as deemed necessary by the line manager

  • Strong technical accounting skills, with direct & proven experience, knowledge and passion for proactively  developing accounting and business systems and processes in a hands-on way
  • Solution-orientated with a proactive “can do” attitude, instilling a sense of pace and urgency into the organisation, and willing to delve into the detail
  • Experience effectively forecasting and preparing budgets accurately
  • Experience effectively managing financial modelling
  • Experience of working with PE backed businesses
  • Efficient in producing professional reports and analysing information to support decision making
  • Ability to maximize efficient usage of financial information systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Preferably qualified within an accounting practice, with ACA (preferred) or equivalent.
  • 3 years PQE in a corporate environment
