CloserStill Media Spain Expands Dental Line-up with Launch of Dental Summit
2nd December 2025: Barcelona, Spain - CloserStill Media has successfully debuted Dental Summit, a new strategic meeting point for the dental sector in Spain. Held in Marbella from 18-19 November, the inaugural edition gathered more than 130 senior leaders from Spain and Portugal, reinforcing the company's growing commitment to supporting and connecting the Iberian dental community.
Dental Summit strengthens CloserStill’s wider dental events line-up in Europe, sitting alongside flagship exhibitions such as the world-famous Dentistry Show Birmingham and the London Dentistry Show. The launch also acknowledges the continued importance of high-level networking platforms across the continent, including DentalForum EMEA by OpenRoom.
The new event contributes to CloserStill’s expanding presence in Spain, where the business already delivers market-leading exhibitions such as Tech Show Madrid, Infarma and the recent launches Learning Technologies Spain and HR Tech Spain. Together, these events demonstrate the company’s ongoing investment in Spain’s healthcare and technological industries and its commitment to building specialist communities across multiple sectors.
Organised with the backing of Fenin (Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies), the two-day dental Summit united DSOs, dental universities, prosthetic laboratories and industry partners to address the key challenges and opportunities driving the sector’s transformation.
The programme opened with a keynote from Roberto Rosso, Founder and President of Key-Stone, on the ‘Evolutionary Dynamics of the Dental Sector’. His analysis examined the major shifts underway and the trends expected to shape the market in the coming years.
A highlight of day one was the round table ‘An X-ray of the dental sector: Where are we and where are we headed?’, moderated by Gema Bonache, Director of Gaceta Dental, and featuring:
• Javier Martín, CEO, Donte Group
• Pablo Crespo, Secretary General, Fenin
• Dr Lluís Giner, Dean, UIC Barcelona
• Dr Carlos Ivorra, CEO, ASISA Dental
Dental Summit also featured a One2One meetings programme designed to maximise high-value interactions through pre-scheduled, face-to-face meetings. The format delivered meaningful collaboration opportunities for DSOs, universities, laboratories and suppliers.
Day two included a data-led session from María Ferrer, Project Manager at the IDIS Foundation, presenting the main findings of the Oral Health Observatory and their implications for policy and clinical practice.
A closing address from consultant and speaker Emilio Duró concluded the event with an energising message focused on purpose, motivation and long-term mindset.
“With Dental Summit, we set out to create a dedicated space where leaders from across the dental ecosystem can step back, share perspectives and drive the collaborations the sector needs for the future,” said Juan Amat, Event Director, CloserStill Media. “The response to this first edition shows clear appetite for a strategic, senior-level meeting of this kind in Spain.”
CloserStill Media thanks the participation of leading dental groups and clinical networks including Donte Group, Dental Company, Sanitas and ASISA Dental, as well as academic partners such as the University of Barcelona, International University of Catalonia, European University and Rey Juan Carlos University. Prosthetic and industrial laboratories including Corus Dental, Ceranium, Prótesis S.A. and Digitaldent also contributed significant expertise.
