CloserStill Week 2026: Bringing our Global Community Together

CloserStill Week 2026: Bringing our Global Community Together

London, United Kingdom - In July 2026, CloserStill Media marked the third annual CloserStill Week, a global employee initiative celebrating connection, wellbeing, and company culture.

Led by the CloserTogether Taskforce, CloserStill's employee-led DEI working group, CloserStill Week is delivered by volunteer representatives in every office. Each location curates its own programme of activities, encouraging colleagues to connect in ways that best reflect their local culture. From fundraising and creative workshops to sport, social events and wellbeing initiatives, every office contributes to one shared global celebration. Throughout the week, employees stepped away from their day-to-day roles to build new relationships, strengthen existing ones, and connect with people across the business.

CloserStill Week concluded with a global company day off, giving teams across every region the opportunity to rest, recharge and return refreshed.

Gareth Bowhill, CEO of CloserStill Media, said of CloserStill Week:

"This is our third CloserStill Week and it's become a real fixture in our calendar. We've got some of the most talented people in the industry, and the bigger we get, the more important it becomes to bring them together. When you put our people in a room together, they learn from each other, challenge each other and make each other better. That's what CloserStill Week is all about."

Highlights from this year's CloserStill Week included:

UK

In London, colleagues enjoyed a varied programme of social, wellbeing and fundraising activities, including cocktail making, creative workshops, and massages. The week also featured the return of Sports Day, hosted by the Black Network, in support of Show Racism the Red Card.

Tutu Adeyemi, Marketing CRM Assistant and Black Network Lead, said 'seeing colleagues come together, have a bunch of fun and raise awareness and funds for such an important cause made all the hard work worthwhile. Events like this remind us of the power of bringing people together, celebrating inclusion and standing united against racism. We're grateful to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success. Here's to next year!'

Elsewhere across the UK, teams celebrated in ways that reflected their local offices, from sea swims, yoga and mindfulness sessions at Elite Exhibitions in Hove to Tai Chi, sound baths, creative workshops and crazy golf in Dorking with UKi Media & Events. Coventry brought colleagues together through an Italian feast, office games and a pool tournament, Guildford enjoyed a day at the races with live music, and our PNE team rounded off the week with a portrait painting competition and Sports Day in Crawley.

All teams celebrated at the UK Summer Party hosted in Olympia, London.

Singapore

In Singapore, CloserStill Week brought colleagues together through a team dinner, bowling and a collaborative art workshop at the Visual Arts Centre, where individual canvases came together to create one shared painting reflecting CloserStill's values: Empathy, Integrity, Determination, Ownership and Teamwork.

Spain

The Barcelona office's CloserStill Week programme combined creativity, wellbeing and connection, with colleagues enjoying a summer party at the port, meditation training and a sip-and-paint session.

Julia de Pablos, Office Manager, said 'organising CloserStill Week is a really rewarding experience. My favourite moment came during our sip & paint session. At one point, I looked around and realised the whole room had gone completely quiet because everyone was so focused on their own painting. Soon after, people started comparing their artwork, laughing at their different interpretations and admiring each other's creations. Watching that shift was probably the best part of the week.'

U.S.

In the U.S., colleagues came together for an Electric Shuffle social, while remote team members received gift cards as a token of appreciation, ensuring everyone could take part in CloserStill Week wherever they were based.

Germany

Across Germany, teams celebrated CloserStill Week with a mix of social events, learning opportunities and community initiatives. In Berlin, colleagues enjoyed a summer boat party, a Conscious Inclusion session and a riverside litter pick, while Hamburg brought teams together through mini golf, table tennis and a BBQ to round off the week. In Mannheim, colleagues took part in cross-department job rotations, got creative with a painting session, celebrated at their annual summer party and gave back to the local community through a litter-picking initiative.

  • "This year's CSM Week was all about getting to know each other better and strengthening the way we work together. The job rotation gave us the chance to experience each other's daily work, gain new perspectives, and better understand the challenges and contributions of every team. It was a great reminder that we're at our best when we work together, not in silos. To wrap up the week, we celebrated at our summer party with fun games, lots of laughs, and great summer vibes."

  • "CSM Week is such an important part of the year! It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues we don't often work with day to day, especially with hybrid working and different show portfolios. Everyone gets involved, from sharing ideas and planning activities to hosting sessions and bringing their own skills to the week. After our busiest period, it's also the perfect chance to switch off, recharge and come together before the Autumn shows!"
    Georgia Hyndman
  • "It was great! It was nice to get out of the office for a while and spend quality time bonding with my colleagues. It also gave me the opportunity to interact with people I don't usually get to work with, and the activities really brought out everyone's competitive spirit!"
    Feera Syaqirah
  • "CloserStill Week in Berlin was a great chance to connect beyond our day-to-day work, share new experiences with colleagues and spend quality time together. We discovered new things about each other, had lots of fun and came away with even stronger team spirit."
    Maude Renaud
  • "As it was my first CloserStill week, I wasn't expecting activities like these. I really enjoyed the Sip & Paint session because it gave me the chance to get to know my colleagues in a different setting and see another side of the team."
    Catalina Planellas
