In a sector that is so progressive, but has seen predominant male leadership, we are pleased to be hosting this line-up of global leaders in the sphere of tech including: Ivana Bartoletti OBE, Dr Samira Asma, Tiffany Hall, Debbie Forster OBE, Caroline Gorski, Maggie Philbin OBE, Sara Milne.

These individuals also represent a cross-section of disciplines and the importance of technology in the future of major infrastructure: healthcare (Dr Asma, WHO), Security (Ivana Bartoletti OBE, Wipro), Education (Tiffany Hall & Maggie Philbin OBE), Data, (Caroline Gorski, R2 Data Labs), Engineering – Lloyd’s Bank. At Tech Show London 2022, they are joined by other luminaries. Notably – Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Inventor of the World Wide Web and Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, will offer a video plenary.

Sophie Baker-Davis, Head of Marketing and Content at CloserStill said: ‘We have ensured that a large range of backgrounds and experience are included in the programme. Our selection has been based on achievements, rather than number of years in the field.’

Curating the Main Stage has constituted six months’ dedicated work on the part of CloserStill’s market-leading Technology team. While the company is delighted to host such a strong cannon of female experts, there is an awareness, in the company, that there is still much work to be done. Baker-Davis explains: ‘In running the Technology Portfolio across the globe, we have, at times, struggled with truly diverse speaker representation across age, ability, gender and ethnicity.’ She adds:

‘However, providing an inclusive platform for the industry is top of our agenda and something we want to improve in 2022 and beyond.’
