CloserStill advances new frontiers after conquering Wild West
CloserStill Media’s Veterinary Group is celebrating their latest triumph, Wild West Vet, which took place 3-7 October at the Grand Sierra Resort, Reno, Nevada.
Following the acquisition of Modern Veterinary Media, who previously ran the veterinary conference and exhibition, by CloserStill Media in September, Wild West Vet welcomed 1516 delegates – cementing the event’s position as a key event in the US national veterinary calendar.
Bruce Dozier, Executive Director of Modern Veterinary Media commented on the merger, "We were all very excited to join forces with one of the premier conferences and trade show management companies in the world.”
The western expansion for the CloserStill follows the unprecedented success of their first US launch, New York Vet, which took place in November 2017. Coupled with Wild West Vet, CloserStill also welcomed Chicago Vet into their folds – meaning a global portfolio of six major veterinary events worldwide. Over 300 exhibitors and 3000 delegates are expected at the second edition of New York Vet this November, totalling the Vet Group to 685 exhibitors and 6,000 paying delegates in the US alone – a grand feat for CloserStill’s second year of business in the States.
Rob Chapman, MD of CloserStill’s Vet Group added, "The Wild West Vet Show delivered exactly what we knew it would. Great education, in a great venue and great interaction between our attendees and our exhibitors. When we invested in Modern Veterinary Media, we knew we were investing in well-established and well-respected events and that’s what we got.
"These are very exciting times ahead for us – with CloserStill Vet Group is now running three events across the US, the future is looking incredibly positive with potential launches in the pipeline," said Rob. "When it comes to the CloserStill Vet Portfolio, all I can say is – watch this space!"
