Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Our Commitment

CloserStill brings together colleagues and professional communities spanning industries, cultures and countries. That diversity is an important part of who we are, with different experiences and perspectives challenging our thinking, inspiring new ideas and helping us better understand the audiences we serve.

We’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive and collaborative workplace where our people can be themselves, have their voices heard and have every opportunity to succeed. That same commitment extends to our events, where we champion diverse voices and strive to create experiences that reflect and welcome the communities we bring together.

CloserTogether Taskforce

Launched in 2023, the CloserTogether Taskforce is CloserStill Media’s employee-led resource group, dedicated to creating a more inclusive workplace and ensuring our events reflect the audiences and communities we serve.

Since its launch, the Taskforce has driven meaningful progress across the business, including the introduction of the Inclusive Events Charter and CloserStill Week.

The Taskforce is led by dedicated Champions across each of CloserStill’s regions, helping to ensure initiatives respond to the needs of each region while supporting our wider company strategy.

Affinity Groups

Our employee-led affinity groups create spaces for colleagues with shared identities and experiences to connect, build community and make their voices heard across CloserStill.

Our Black Network, Pride Network and Women’s Network bring colleagues and allies together to share experiences, celebrate their communities and contribute to a more inclusive culture across our global business.

Through conversations, events and initiatives throughout the year, our networks raise awareness, strengthen understanding and create meaningful connections between colleagues beyond the workplace.

  • Organising CloserStill Week is always a really rewarding experience. We wanted to organise activities that gave people the chance to spend time with colleagues they don't always work with, and try something a little different. I always think it's worth creating opportunities for people to spend time together outside of their usual routine. You end up seeing a different side of your colleagues, and that stays with you long after the week is over.

  • After working fully remotely, being part of the Pride Network has given me a greater sense of connection and friendship both online and in person, especially meeting people from other offices who share similar experiences and passions.

  • As the Black Network Lead, I was proud to organise this year's Sports Day alongside Latoya Cardoza, our Network Vice, and Channelle Powell, in support of Show Racism the Red Card. Seeing colleagues come together, have a bunch of fun and raise awareness and funds for such an important cause made all the hard work worthwhile. Their determination, teamwork and positive attitude embodied the spirit of the day. Events like this remind us of the power of bringing people together, celebrating inclusion and standing united against racism.

  • Earlier in my career, I didn't always feel able to be myself, so being part of a supportive community through the Pride Network has been incredibly valuable. More than anything though, it's rewarding to see other colleagues feel increasingly comfortable in bringing their authentic selves to work.

  • This year's CloserStill Week was all about getting to know each other better and strengthening the way we work together. It was a great reminder that we're at our best when we work together, not in silos. To wrap up the week, we celebrated at our summer party with fun games, lots of laughs, and great summer vibes.

  • CloserStill Week was great! It was nice to get out of the office for a while and spend quality time bonding with my colleagues. It also gave me the opportunity to interact with people I don't usually get to work with, and the activities really brought out everyone's competitive spirit!
